Be on DVD!

As we reported in our last issue Tony Hassini will be in Dublin in September to record Irish magicians for the IMS Home Study Course.  This means that, if you have an original routine or trick, you have the chance of starring in an International Magicians Society "Magic of Ireland DVD."  Tony will be recording on the afternoon of Saturday the 5th of September in a Dublin City centre hotel, possible Cassidy's but this has yet to be confirmed.  All those interested in taking part as per the conditions set out in the last issue Irish Magic News should contact IMS' Irish representative Joe Fortune as soon as possible at jfortune@eircom.net to register their interest.  For anyone who is interested but can not make the Saturday afternoon session it may be possible to record them on Friday afternoon or evening depending on what time Tony may have available.  You can find out more about IMS' Magic DVD's at http://www.magicims.com

Star in a Magic DVD

Tony Hassini, President and CEO of the International Magicians Society (pictured here with David Copperfield) will be stopping off in Dublin on his way to Europe on the first weekend in September. Tony was in Ireland last January to present Keith Barry with the prestigious Merlin Award.  While he was here he had the chance to meet other Irish magicians and record some original material for his popular home study course in magic.

Tony was very impressed with the quality of what he recorded on that visit and would like to record more material with a view to releasing 'The Magic of Ireland' as part of his course.  If you are interest in taking part in this project the criteria is very simple.  You must be prepared to perform and explain - in detail - an original effect or an original twist on a an established routine to be released to magicians worldwide as part of the International Magicians Society home study course.  There is no financial reward for this but you will receive a 50 volume DVD set of previous released material and a copy of your own contribution when it is released.

If you would to join world famous magicians like Bill Malone, Rocco, Lenart Green, Cris Angel, Kevin James, Harry Loraine, Jeff Hobson, Paul Wilson and many, many more big names in  the world of magic who have contributed to this series now is your chance. 

Joe Fortune - Ireland's IMS representative is liaising with Tony Hassini on this event.  Keep an eye on IrishMagicNews for further updates, but in the mean time start thinking, practicing and rehearsing what original effect you would like to contribute to the magic community so as to record your name in magical history for posterity.
