Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 7:18PM We reported back in January that Shane Gillen was recording a TV pilot. According to a tid-bit in today's Mail on Sunday, and posted by Shane on Facebook, the show produced by Larry Bass' ShinAwil has been "snapped up by RTÉ".

Shane Gillen will be supporting Bressie this coming Thursday at his sold out show in the Academy. Shane is quite a busy boy these days. In addition to running Late Night Magic, he has also launched a weekly magic night at The Bad Ass Cafe and is about to lauch his new stage show Mind Heist at the 10 Days in Dublin event. Mind Heist runs 5th - 11 July at The Smock Alley Theatre. Tickets are avilable through their website priced €10.

According to his Facebook page Shane Gillen is busy filimg a pilot for a TV show. Not content with that he is also in the planning stages of a new monthly magic show in Dublin. For more and to be kept updated see Shane's Facebook.

Further digging round has lead to me learn that the TV Pilot is being made by Straywave who also make Fade Street. Accorinding to an item in The Daily Mail the pilot is being made for RTÉ. We will keep you posted.

Shane has been invited to present at the prestigious TEDx event upcoming in Dublin. The event is sold out but you can place yourself on the cancellation list by emailing pfitzgerald@sdublincoco.ie Speaking on Facebook Shane says...
I will deliver an 18 minute speech titled 'The Anatomy of Perception' which will delve into ways to make an audience think, various techniques to control an audience's thought patterns and a bold insight into what you perceive to be happening, and what is truly happening.
It is a huge honour to be asked to speak at a TED event, and I would be delighted to see some of you there. TEDx in Tallaght is free to attend, but audience spaces are limited so you will have to sign up sooner rather than later.

Friday, July 22, 2011 at 2:19PM To some the words "It's Magic" conjure up the image of a toy shop in Dublin that spawned a generation of working professionals in Ireland but to Conor Armstrong Sanfey it is the name given to the recent video documentary he made through his company CAS Productions Ireland. From Conor, "It's Magic takes a look at two magicians, one who is a master of old school magic, the other a upcoming mentalist. The documentary is also based around the build up to the younger magician's first stage show. Plenty of drama and humor as we take a look at these contrasting styles of Magic."

Pick up an edition of today's Evening Herald and you'll catch a nice piece in it's Dublin magazine supplement about Shane Gillen. Shane Gillen brings his Arrow of Time show to The Payers Theatre in Trinity College as part of the 10 days in Dublin Festival. It will run from 11th - 16th July. Show time is 8pm and tickets cost €10/€8. More info here.

Shane Gillen took his Arrow of Time show to The Mill Theatre Dundrum the Monday after the Blackpool Convention. As a result of the timing you editor couldn't make it but Shane has posted some pictures of the show on his Facebook.

Magician Shane Gillen will preview a new theatre show on 21st February in the MIll Theatre Dundrum.
From Shane's Facebook... 'The Arrow of Time' is Shane's second stage show, following his debut stage show 'MindHeist' which ran in Winter 2009.
The Arrow of Time is a show that promises to delve into the depths of theatre of the mind as Shane waltzes with your inner thoughts in both an arresting and humorous fashion.
Journalist Shay Healy has dubbed Shane as an 'exciting new master of legerdemain' , and Shane has quickly climbed the ranks within the entertainment industry over the last couple of years. He has performed for many A-list celebrities as well as having performed for huge events for Paddy Power, Ford, IBM, Platinum Entertainment, Dell, The Meteor Music Awards, Lady Gaga concert, The Pink nightclub, Krystle, Mantra, Wrights, Top Gear etc. The list goes on!
Tickets go on sale this week at the affordable price of €10 a ticket, and €6 with a student card. This is a one-night only preview show, so get your tickets quick as you will not have a chance to catch this show again until the end of the year!
So sit back and enjoy an evening of mind trickery at The Mill Theatre on February 21st at 8pm.

According to his Facebook Magician Shane Gillen will appear on City Channel's The Evening Show on Thursday evening coming at 7pm. The show is repeated over the next few days and you can catch it again on Thursday at 9pm, Friday at 8am and 11am and Saturday at 5pm.
