A Christmas Message from IBM Ring 85 President Paddy Meany

I would like to wish a Happy Christmas to all my fellow magicians.  For some of us, this is a festive time of year and for others there may be sadness.  My thoughts are with the families of those honoured members who died this year as well as with those who are currently unwell.  I hope the New Year brings renewed joy and happiness. 

Looking back to 2010, the Ring 85 Convention hosted by the Ulster Society of Magicians was the highlight of the year.  It was a very enjoyable convention and was a huge success!  I would like to thank the Ulster Society of Magicians for hosting the event.

Looking forward, Ring 85’s Annual Irish Magician’s Convention is coming up on 29^th of April to the 1^st of May, 2011 in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown, Dublin, Ireland. 
This year, the convention is hosted by the Society of Irish Magicians who have organized a fantastic line up of magic dealers, lectures and demonstrations, ending with the renowned International Gala Show.  See their website at www.irishmagicconvention.com for more details.  I have no doubt that SIM will make this event unforgettable!
