Late Late Toy Show Magic

The Late Late Toy Show, aired last Friday was crammed full of magic.  In the opening number Shrek was magically transformed in to host Ryan Tubridy.  This sub-trunk esque piece was devised especially for the show by Pat Fallon.  Pat was helped with the design and build by none other then Séamus Hanratty who custom fabricated the hoop for the illusion.  In talking with Pat he had nothing but praise for the RTÉ star telling us "Ryan had a lot of work to do to make this look right.  And fair play to him, he was an absolute pro, worked really hard and devoted the time & attention needed to pull this off."  You can catch the transformation, right at the top of the show, on the RTÉ Player here for the next 15 days.

While there skip along to the 23 minute mark where you will catch 11 year old Neassa Last from Wexford magicing with Ryan.  She demonstrates, better then some I have seen in magic clubs, the latest Marvin's Magic set aimed specifically at girls.

Emerald Magic launches at Magic UnCorked with Special Offers

Emerald Magic is the new name for Pat Fallon's dealing business which was previously known as abc Magic.  Emerald Magic should be your first call in Ireland for cards, rope and general magic supplies.  In addition Emerald Magic also stock Pat's own range of marketed effects.  Pat writes...

Just a quick note to say that Emerald Magic will be launched at this weekend’s Magic Uncorked with lots of special offers on a wide range of magic. The rebranding has come about due to a number of my original effects been taken up by a dealer in the USA so a more distinct Irish look was felt necessary at this time. A new website will appear later in the year but for the moment our email address info@emeraldmagic.net is active and the telephone number is 00353 45 858000 for any enquiries.

We wish Pat the best of luck with this new look.

It's Magic :: The Documentary

To some the words "It's Magic" conjure up the image of a toy shop in Dublin that spawned a generation of working professionals in Ireland but to Conor Armstrong Sanfey it is the name given to the recent video documentary he made through his company CAS Productions Ireland.  From Conor, "It's Magic takes a look at two magicians, one who is a master of old school magic, the other a upcoming mentalist. The documentary is also based around the build up to the younger magician's first stage show. Plenty of drama and humor as we take a look at these contrasting styles of Magic."

Starring Pat Fallon and Shane Gillen It's Magic is available on Conor's Youtube Channel or you can watch the embedded videos below.

Briefs

Our sincere condolences to Pat Fallon whose father Harry passed away last week.  Those wishing to pass on their sympathies please be aware that following the funeral Pat flew to America and is as such hard to contact.  Irish Magic was represented at the funeral by Messrs Fortune and wife Helen, Sadar and wife Marjorie, Byrne, Bowden, Renihan and Wiltshire.  As an aside, who should Pat bump into in JFK?  Only Irish showbiz legend Brendan Boyer and amazing juggler/magician Charlie Fry.
