Irish Magicians Support Keith's Show
Friday, July 22, 2011 at 12:28PM
A gaggle of Irish Magicians were in attendance last night at Keith barry's 8 Deadly Sins at Dublin's Olympia Theatre. Keith met a few of us after his packed show. In addition to those pictured (Joe Hoey, Keith, myself, Carl Cambell and Joe Daly) we also spotted Ronan MacGabhann, Nevin Cody and Reuben. We won't ruin the show for those who have not seen it but suffice to say it is a rolicking two and a half hours jammed full of humour, audience participation and incredible and in some cases unexplainable mindreading. 8 Deadly Sins runs until the 6th August and full details are available on Keith's website.

Post a Comment Irish Independent review of 8 Deadly Sins
Friday, July 15, 2011 at 3:46PM Keith Barry's new show 8 Deadly Sins opened on Wednesday night and in addition to positive tweets from the likes of model Georgia Salpa, John Meagher writes in today's Irish Independent -
Keith Barry is a bundle of energy -- and not just when he's trying to extricate himself from being tightly bound to a chair with cling film wrapped around his head. This Houdini-like stunt appears towards the end of an entertaining, frequently hilarious, show, but there's been no let up for the past two hours.

From the promoters MCD...
Keith Barry’s brand new show 8 Deadly Sins is based around tireless research he has completed on the existing 7 Deadly Sins. The 8th Deadly Sin will be revealed at the Olympia this July. As a dedicated student of human behaviour, Keith promises to bring his audience on a roller coaster ride of laughter, suspense and amazement unlike anything they've ever experienced before. The show will involve audience members falling into coffins, unaware of what fate will have in store for them when they land, people will be selected at random to enter Keith's confession box where he will be challenged to mentally extract their imaginary sins - reading their minds in the process. Under the umbrella of Greed, every night Keith will gamble hugely valuable possessions with people from the audience. 8 Deadly Sins will also feature a life risking daredevil escape the likes of which has never been attempted before. Most importantly, the show is designed to keep the audience on the edge of their seats, crying with laughter, open mouthed in astonishment, and when they leave the Olympia Theatre, their world as they know it, will have changed forever. Do you dare come and see the 8th Deadly Sin unveiled? 8 Deadly Sins opens 13th July and runs Wednesdays through Saturdays until 6th August 2011. Tickets priced €29 and €30 inclusive of booking fee are on sale now though all Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
